Sun rays can cause adverse effects on the skin with UVA and UVB rays. In addition to the effects of aging, the skin exposed to long-term UVA and UVB rays also weakens against infections. Apart from these, it can cause skin spots and cancer in the future.

It is necessary to take precautions to prevent the damage of the sun's rays on the human skin over time. The easiest way to do it on a daily basis is to use sunscreen. Sunscreens are products that contain a protection factor to protect them from the sun's rays.

What are UVA and UVB?

UVB is more intense at noon, when the sun is brightest. It is the main cause of skin burns.
UVA is sunlight that is not filtered through glass, penetrates deeper and is more effective.

What is the Protective Factor in Sunscreens?

The protective factor in sunscreens, namely SPF, is the factor that prolongs the time we spend under the sun by providing protection against the harmful rays of the sun. Since the SPF value expresses the protective feature of a sunscreen, the higher the SPF value, the higher the protection feature.

SPF values in sunscreens should be between 15 and 50. For children and people with sensitive skin, it is necessary to choose sunscreens with a high SPF value.
